I’m not a professional chef! Sure, I completed a three-year apprenticeship in the hotel industry, during which I also spent some time in the kitchen. But during my career in the hotel industry, I didn’t focus on being a chef. My interest was more in interacting with hotel guests, and I rose to the position of Guest Relations Manager at a 5-star hotel.
I never really learned to cook. My idol is my mother, who always put a lot of love and care into preparing delicious dishes. She once told me, “Before seasoning, you should smell the spices you want to add and imagine if they will definitely go with it.”
I was born in Germany and spent part of my childhood in France. I was fortunate enough to travel from the west coast to the east coast of the USA for six months, where I discovered delicious Mexican food.

A lover of Spain, I spent a winter season as a tour guide in Mallorca and eventually settled in Greece, on the beautiful island of Crete.
As luck would have it, I met my husband and discovered the delicacies of Greek cuisine there. Now, with the kind support of my dear mother-in-law, I’ve dedicated myself to the secrets of the notoriously healthy dishes of the “Mediterranean Diet.” And—I promise you—I’ll show you on this website how easy these dishes actually are to prepare!
One more remark to all Chef’s of the world:
Please forgive me if my preparation instructions don’t meet the standards of “Grande Cuisine”! As I said, I learned to cook through practical experience—and I believe this is true for most of us. Therefore, the preparation is essentially based on my experience. I’m sure you, dear chefs, will do better…
